Scenario
As a leader, you have been tasked with building a team whose purpose is to recommend a new performance evaluation system. The current system is outdated and greatly reduces employee morale each year.

Instructions
As the leader of this problem-solving team, you are tasked with educating staff on the methods and systems used for team rewards. The company has asked you for a two-page report to summarize how and why teams are compensated.
In your report, you will want to:

  • Describe the different types of team compensation and rewards.
  • Discuss the relation between motivation and performance.
  • Describe how managers evaluate and reward team performance.
  • Recommend strategies for determining appropriate compensation and rewards, based on team type.

As leaders, our perspectives on diversity are often framed and informed by our culture, life experience, education, profession, and workplace. As the leader, it is incumbent upon you to support and promote inclusion in your organization. Using the organization you created in this module, develop a definition of diversity for your organization.

In a well-written paper, compare your definition with four other definitions of diversity.

  1. From U.S.-based Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
  2. From an international scholarly or business publication
  3. From an international non-profit organization
  4. From a public organization in your community, state, or country.

 Address the following in your paper:

  • Provide the four definitions of diversity and the one you developed.
  • Describe the sources of the definitions (SHRM; name and location of the international publication; name and location of the international non-profit organization; name and location of the public organization)
  • Describe the composition of the critical audience for each definition.
  • Compare your definition of diversity with the definitions from the other four sources. Be specific and evaluate each description of its global inclusivity.
