DQ1-The United States Constitution has been one of the most important documents drafted in the U.S. All of the amendments have been and will be critical to civil society. However, the tenth amendment provides and gives the powers to all the states within the U.S. That is how local cities and police departments divide the powers. For example, police officers in California and Arizona have a penal code that derives from such powers making it possible to detain and place someone under arrest.

Federal government established such by laws to control and contain civil society from unruly conduct and criminal behavior etc. According to Hunter, Barker, and Guzman (2017), mentioned “The U.S constitution created a federal system that orders and governs national powers by sharing authority to other local states. This provides the information and protocol as to the dissemination of authority. Some pros would include creating a sense nationalism and encouraging high levels of government stability. Perhaps, cons are seen as a negative effect due to citizens confusion and lack government responsibility.

DQ2-The U.S. Constitution has been one of the most important documents in the United States and is one of the most well-known as well. According to society and the communities during the time of the Constitution, is what made each amendment fit according to the U.S. The tenth amendment stating, ““The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people” means to emphasize the inclusion of a bill of rights does not change the fundamental character of the national government and governs these national powers to share authority to other local states (Hunter, Barker & Guzman, 2017). Like every amendment, or even rules in general there are pros and cons. For the tenth amendment, some procs can include crime prevention, helping the people of the U.S. by having some form of order, and trying to strengthen both the community neighborhoods and the national justice system as a whole. A few cons of this amendment involves the possibility of officials or higher ups abusing their power which can also cause another issue of separating law enforcement from the community instead of bringing them together to work and get along together. These two cons can lead to anything else that would fall under them such as death, disagreements, abuse of the system, chaos, and causing stress on law enforcement.

DQ3-The federalist system of government is something that is extremely important when it comes to the U.S. justice system. Making and enforcing these laws are a central part of all aspects of the criminal justice system. At every level of government, you will find legislative bodies that make laws, executive agencies that enforce laws, and correctional organizations that carry out adjudicated sanctions (Hunter, Baker, & Guzman, 2017). When it comes to division within law enforcement agencies around the country there are specific pros and cons that I see tbat exist and they are as follows:

Pros:

Crime Prevention, Neighborhood Safety, Order, Strengthening the Justice System, Helping People

Cons:

Abuse of power and police brutality, Negative relationship between police and communities, Chaos, Stressful situations, Loss of life

These pros and cons present us with a small sample that must be taken seriously of the positive and negative affects of police and the different agencies across the country. These are all things that not only exist in law enforcement they also play off one another and depending on the environment it can either help or hinder law enforcement agencies.
