Question: Now that you have finished your capstone project, reflect on its function, purpose, and success with your classmates. What do you wish you had known before starting? If you wanted to continue the project, what would be your next steps?

Answer: When sending out the final survey (which served as the initial implementation of my project) I was so nervous. I must have triple checked the email, video link, and questions. My project was meant to serve as a program specific for young women 14-18 who are attending Bourgade Catholic High School. It is meant to serve as a less formal gathering that will offer mentorship opportunities and the chance to hear from women in industries that they feel called for their future. This is meant to inspire and motivate them to see where God is calling them in their life. At this moment I have only received a few surveys back, but overall, the feedback has been positive and has allowed me to see that this IS answering a need and filling a hole in our school for our young women. To continue this project, my next step would be to open it up to more young women outside of the selected group I began with. I would also want to secure my first 3 speakers so I could advertise the Gatherings with as much clarity as possible to encourage as many young women to show up as possible. I have the support from my administration at school to do something like this, so that allows me to see that success if possible, and that success would be measured in community building and student asking questions rather than in them jumping into big projects on their own.
