- Research Question/Hypothesis: The research question(s) is the question(s) the research study wants to answer. There can be more than one research question in quantitative studies. A hypothesis is not a question but rather a statement about the relationship between two or more variables. To develop a hypothesis, you need the variables, the population, and the relationship between the variables. Create your research question(s) or hypothesis(es) for your research study and provide the rationale.
- Design: The research design reflects the overall plan or strategy to unite the components of the study, ensuring you will effectively address the research problem. State the research design of the study, the independent and dependent variables, and what the task will be (e.g., what you had the participants do).
- Data Type: Describe the statistical techniques to be used to analyze the data. Determine whether the data is primary or secondary. Provide a rationale for your specific data analysis decisions. Cite at least one peer-reviewed source on the chosen analysis technique.
